Promotional Hand-outs for Manifesto

 

For my Promotional work I searched the net for portrait photographs of various different people and made facebook pages for each of them. The idea behind this was so that the audience, if they wanted, could take one of these ID cards and log into the persona they desired to be the most. 

Unfortunately the passwords no longer work when logging in as the team at Facebook were quick to find out the fake profiles and delete them.

My final design stand point as a flaneur was that we as a society find and execute creativity and design within our everyday. Whether this is for a functional purpose or a stylistic one and sometimes both. We find ways to manipulate the purpose of some designs to please us aesthetically and make our lives easier.

My final haiku is as follows:

Creativity?
It’s just common sense to us.

We are designers.

Flaneur session 2

I will continue to look at people misusing different everyday design. I find myself interested in the way people manipulate everyday design to be more suitable for their own design identities and individuality. I may add a drawn element into my final composition that acts as a blue print as to how the design was meant to be used.

First time "Flaneuring"

So these are my first shots from my first time exploring the city as a flaneur. I found it hard to develop a clear stand point and perspective but I looked at every day design to articulate one. I looked at how the combinations of different things developed new everyday design and at how people neglected to use things the way they ere designed to be used; whether it was to generate a style or just in ignorance.
